Fees
Class B misdemeanor- $2,450 capped hourly pretrial fee*

Capped hourly: the $2,450 fee is a capped hourly, meaning the fee cannot be more than $2,450 (for pretrial work, except as provided below), but can be less. The firm tracks billing at $350 an hour for attorney time. As an example, if a client pays $2,450 and resolution of the case only requires 3 hours of Edward Stone's time ($350 x 3 = $1,050), then the client is refunded $750 (1,800-1050). Statistically, about 98% of cases are resolved during pretrial proceedings. (Source: New York Times 2012- Wright and Paul Hofer analysis of Bureau of Justice Statistics)
